Often fluorescent lamps are replaced with LED tubes that provide better light quality. LED tubes achieve better light quality, energy efficiency, and especially improved luminous efficacy in cold conditions. The lamps are directly interchangeable with fluorescent lamps, accompanied by the following LED starter. Short LED tubes (59 cm and 43.8 cm) are not suitable for connecting two lamps through a single ballast. If the luminaire has a power factor correction capacitor, removing it improves the power factor (Pf).
