Remote control for EI140 and EI3000 series detectors

Testing and controlling the detectors is effortless with the EI1529 remote control. The remote has three buttons: locate, test, and hush.

TEST - Pressing the test button (TEST) simulates the operation of the detector's own test button. When the remote's test button is pressed, the system tests all detectors connected to the remote.

HUSH - The hush button (HUSH) silences activated detectors for approximately 10 minutes, after which the system automatically returns to normal mode. The hush function does not disable the detectors but changes their sensitivity settings. If a large amount of smoke is detected, the detectors will still alarm during the hush period.

LOCATE - Pressing the locate button (LOCATE) during an alarm silences all other detectors except the first one to trigger. This significantly speeds up identifying the fire's origin. If an alarm has occurred while the occupant is away, pressing the locate button will indicate which detector triggered, even if the alarm has already stopped sounding.
