ST308 peeling machine is used to peel the bonded insulation screen of medium voltage cables. The machine leaves an even surface. The peeling depth can be adjusted between 0,4 and 1,8 mm by 0,1 mm steps simply by turning a screw. The tool is equipped with ball bearings to provide an effortless turning. No greasing of the core is needed.The tool is intended for cores with diameters on the insulation screen from 18 to 60 mm. The tool is equipped with a stopper to stop the peeling at either 25, 30 or 40 mm from the cable outer sheath or some other stopping edge. If there is not any natural stopping edge against which the tool can stop, a constant force spring can temporarily be attached on the core. PVC taping can be used to prevent the spring from moving.
