Remote-controllable, ceiling-mounted PD2-M-1C master occupancy sensors available in surface, recessed, and suspended ceiling mounting versions with a circular detection area. One potential-free relay (NO) controls lighting. Highly advanced lighting measurement and calculation using an integrated light sensor located inside the lens. The sensor turns off artificial lighting only when it is certain that sufficient natural light remains in the space. The sensor can be connected to a 230V AC push button to manually turn lighting on/off. The push button must not have an indicator lamp.

The sensor can be programmed via potentiometers and DIP switches or via the IR-PD-1C remote control. The sensor can be programmed for automatic operation (VA – lights turn on when entering the space if there is insufficient natural light) or semi-automatic operation (HA – lights do not turn on when entering the space but only when the push button is pressed). Semi-automatic mode is recommended if the space has large windows allowing ample natural light. Slave sensors can be connected to the master sensor to extend the detection area. Any Luxomat slave sensor can be connected to the master sensor.

Construction. Housing made of UV- and impact-resistant polycarbonate, IP20, Class II. The -AP model can achieve an IP54 rating using the IP54 mounting base (3515474).

Installation. -AP – surface mounting to ceiling, -EN – recessed mounting, -FP – suspended ceiling mounting

Detection Area. 360° detection diameter of 4 m when moving perpendicular to the sensor, 10 m when moving laterally, and 6 m when moving toward the sensor, at an installation height of 2.5 m. Ability to connect an unlimited number of slave sensors to extend the detection area.

Control Method. One NO switching channel for lighting control. Load capacity: 10A 2300W cosφ = 1; 1150 VA cosφ = 0.5. Light level adjustable from 10 to 2000 lx. Turn-off delay adjustable from 15 s to 30 min, or pulse mode. The built-in potentiometer allows delay adjustment from 5 sec to 16 min. Using the IR-PD-1C remote control, delay can be adjusted from 5 min to 30 min. Programming via remote control overrides settings made via potentiometer and DIP switches.

Additional Functions. Multiple additional functions can be set on the sensor:

• Auto/Semi-Auto Function. In auto mode, the sensor turns lights on automatically upon motion. In semi-auto mode, lights turn on only when the push button is pressed. Setting via DIP switches or remote control.
• Corridor Function: If the sensor is set to corridor function and lights are turned off via the push button, the sensor forgets the button press and reverts to auto mode after 5 seconds. Setting via DIP switches or remote control.
• Sensitivity Adjustment: By default, sensitivity is set for indoor use. Sensor sensitivity can be reduced to allow use in outdoor areas. Adjustment possible only via remote control.

Forced Control. By continuously applying 230V to the Slave input R (voltage applied for more than 10 seconds), the lights remain on as long as voltage is supplied to the Slave input.
