FZOMU-SD 1.6 is a loose tube optical cable designed for outdoor installation in ducts. The structure can contain 12 to 96 fibers in secondary coated tubes (1.6 mm). Color-coded fibers are grouped in sets of 12 within the tubes and are stranded around a central dielectric, glass fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) tensile element. This cable type is longitudinally water-resistant thanks to a water-swellable tape. The cable has a halogen-free outer sheath made of black polyethylene.
