Primarily a stainless steel hand pump with nitrile seals, suitable for pumping oil, glycol, and domestic water. The pump features machined fittings designed for industrial use.
This pump has an upward-facing handle; the handle direction cannot be adjusted after purchase. This pump has 1" threaded fittings, but it is also available with 3/4" fittings. The pump is not recommended for drinking water, as it does not self-drain after use, leaving water inside the pump. Therefore, if the Nira 6B pump is used for pumping domestic water and is stored in a location where freezing is possible, the pump must be emptied of water before freezing conditions occur.

A standard P 1" (32 mm) pipe is typically used as the suction pipe, with the foot valve installed at its end. Garden hose is unsuitable as a suction pipe because it is too flexible and the pump’s suction will collapse it. The Nira 6B can temporarily withstand a pressure of approximately 3 bar. The pump must not be installed in a system where it is continuously under pressure. When connecting the pump to a fuel tank, ensure the tank cannot empty itself (siphoning effect).
