Product description and installation
Robust EMV gland seal with metric thread according to IEC 423 for demanding sealing applications. The connection between the gland seal and the cable shield is achieved via contact fingers. Strain relief, torque protection, and sealing over the entire mounting area. Seal made of neoprene. Connector made of polyamide. Pre-installed seal in the thread, VDE approval according to DIN EN 50262, protection class IP 68 at 5 bar/1 h.
Strip the cable shield approximately 10 - 15 mm in length.
Slide the nut and seals onto the cable.
Bend the shield at a right angle (90°) outward. Finally, fold the braid twice more in the direction of the outer sheath (another 180°). Finally, push the lamella gland against the shield and rotate it back and forth until a continuous contact surface is formed.
Pull the cable through the gland seal from the nut side until the contact fingers press against the stripped braid. This creates a connection between the gland seal and the cable.
Tighten the locking nut and strain relief.
