When a direct lightning strike hits a building protected by an external lightning protection system, large potential differences can arise between the building and installed systems (electrical, telecommunications cables), leading to dangerous fires and damage. Nearby lightning strikes generate strong magnetic fields that can damage electrical equipment. But even lightning strikes up to 2 km away can generate dangerous overvoltages in the building’s electrical equipment. OBO provides all necessary products for reliable lightning protection: lightning rods, surge protectors, potential equalization and grounding accessories.
OBO’s light gray potential equalization bar is equipped with a sealable cover and is made of impact-resistant plastic.
