The channels can be opened along their entire length, making them ideal for installations where wiring needs to be modified or extended. Cast iron boxes installed in the channel are mounted beside the channel to achieve the maximum possible cross-sectional area for cables. An installation depth of at least 80 mm must be provided to ensure that junction boxes and plug connectors fit under the closed lid.
