EMP starter designed for installation with magnetic ballast luminaires. Connect to a luminaire with a magnetic ballast and capacitor. Remove all fluorescent tubes and the traditional starter, and replace them with the EMP starter. If the capacitor has been removed from the luminaire or bypassed, connect the EMP starter normally and leave the ballast in place. When connected directly to the mains voltage, the luminaire's ballast is bypassed and the EMP starter is not required. See additional installation instructions.
