PROPERTIES/USAGE
The general splice box XOK 10... is designed to accommodate all commonly used terrestrial, submarine, and aerial optical cables as well as optical fiber aerial ground wires (OPGW) or helically armored cables. The splice box material is acid-resistant steel, making it mechanically robust and highly resistant to corrosion. The seal is rubber. The enclosure is pressure-tight (IP68) and suitable for direct installation in cable pits, underground, or on poles. The splice box provides sufficient space for storage of slack loops and mounting points for various reinforcement and core elements, as well as options for various grounding arrangements. The enclosure can be easily opened and closed as needed after installation. Several basic versions are available with two, three, or four penetrations, along with specialized versions for branching enclosures and intermediate neck types. Enclosures are available pre-packaged in application packages with fiber counts of 24, 48, 96, or 192.
