CONNECTION BOX ROTH 8 CHANNELS TOUCHLINE PL
The Roth Project is a wireless hydronic floor heating control system. It is used for individual room temperature control in buildings equipped with floor heating systems, where a simple yet highly functional system is required. The system consists of an 8-channel control unit to which wireless thermostats for individual rooms are connected. The unit features a control panel used, among other things, for pairing thermostats. The control panel displays the temperatures reported by the thermostats, and signal strength can be easily read for each thermostat, facilitating optimal thermostat placement. There are two different thermostat models: one with a small display and touch buttons, and the other being solely a floor temperature sensor controlled via the control unit.
The control unit has 8 channels. The unit can be mounted directly on the wall or using a 35 mm DIN rail (not included in delivery). The control unit includes a potential-free relay, for example for boiler control, and a 230 V output for a pump.
The following information can be read channel-by-channel on the control panel:- Current and set temperature
- Heat demand
- Signal strength
- Battery charge level
- Pump output status (on/off)
- Relay status (on/off)
- Alarm if connection to the control panel is lost
The system has a range of up to 30 meters indoors and includes freeze protection if the thermostat connection is lost. Thermostats can be locked for public use.
At the first startup of the floor heating system, all actuators should be fully opened to ensure proper operation. This is important to purge all air from the system.
The system performs an automatic pump purge every 10 days for 5 minutes to extend the pump’s lifespan and prevent it from seizing.
