The water valve is available in three sizes:

The device is powered simply via a 2A USB-A port and features a built-in backup power source, allowing the valve to be opened or closed during a power outage. Using the Shelly Smart Control app or your preferred third-party platform, you can open and close the valve from 0-100%. The valve is also certified for drinking water (NSF) and includes a DS18B20 temperature sensor to monitor water temperature.

Local Operation – No Hub Required
All Shelly WiFi devices feature a built-in web server, meaning you gain numerous functions that always work regardless of whether you have an active internet connection. You also do not need a hub, so you can start with just one Shelly device. The built-in web server means Shelly has built-in memory, so it remembers sunrise, sunset, schedules, and more even when the network is down.
Relays and dimmers function like standard toggle switches, so they can be used with regular switches – even without internet. All inputs and outputs are fully programmable and require only a local WiFi connection to communicate between devices. We still recommend an active internet connection, as it unlocks even more features.
