Ecoflex 15 Plus Heatex is a halogen-free 50 ohm cable suitable for 3/4/5G and WiFi signals.
The center conductor of the Ecoflex 15 Plus Heatex cable consists of an aluminum core with a copper coating. This reduces weight and improves performance, especially at high frequencies. The cable is also fire-safe, produces minimal smoke, and is halogen-free.
Heatex cables are used in situations where it is critical that cables do not ignite easily during a fire and thus do not act as fire spreaders, as traditional PVC cables can. PVC cables are also fire-safe in that they do not act as ignition sources, but existing fires can ignite them, allowing PVC cables to act as fire spreaders. Heatex cables, on the other hand, ignite very poorly and self-extinguish.
Heatex cables are halogen-free and emit very little smoke, which could otherwise obstruct visibility and escape from a burning building. Heatex cables also do not release corrosive compounds during fires, unlike PVC cables.
Heatex cables are used in WLAN networks, LA and radio amateur antennas, remote control systems for water and similar facilities, and other professional applications requiring high-quality 50 ohm coaxial cable. Due to their fire safety, Heatex cables are the best choice especially for public spaces, ships, and hazardous environments.
NOTE. Heatex cable is not intended for TV or satellite antennas, which use 75 ohm cable.
Electrically and in all other properties, Ecoflex 15 Plus and 15 Plus Heatex cables are identical. The only difference is in the outer insulation layer.
