XL chimney boots allow pipes, masts, cables, or roof poles with diameters of 175-250 mm to be sealed tightly through the roof structure. A stepped EPDM rubber seal (diameters of 75/200/225/250 mm) is installed on top of the XL roof penetration, selected according to the roofing material. The flexible rubber seal accommodates pipe movements while maintaining a seal around the penetration in the roof membrane. EPDM rubber has the best possible resistance to weather and ozone and can withstand continuous heat exposure up to +90 °C and short-term exposure up to +150 °C.
