The logic controller ABA/S1.2.1 provides an extensive library of logical blocks and also allows creation of custom blocks. The maximum number of logical blocks is 3000, the number of I/Os is 505, and the maximum number of connections is 2000. Programming is performed via the ETS software. Functions can be simulated in advance in offline mode as well as when the device is in use in online mode. The device also has a lightweight user interface where input and output states can be viewed and input states can be modified.
