RECHARGING STATION HEATN CHARGE SMART FM
Heat'n'Charge Smart FM eParking Gateway - 4G/Ethernet base station (modem enclosure). An eG base station protected from rain and weather enables the operation of the ePole/eParking system. Depending on the size of the parking area, one or multiple Smart FM eG base stations are required on the site. The eParking system requires commissioning and a service agreement.
The base station and Heat'n'Charge Smart charging stations form a connected radio network that enables operation of the charging field. The ePole is a smart, remotely controllable heating and slow-charging station. The ePole measures electricity consumption based on the user and the station. The base station is recommended to be installed via Ethernet, but 4G is also possible. Through the eParking.fi system, Heat'n'Charge Smart charging and heating stations can be equipped with intelligent load management and various services such as user-specific billing of consumed electricity.
Enclosure ratings: IP44, IK08. Lid locked with a key. Technical specifications, quantity, and location of the eParking Gateway base station. The eG base station has two antennas: one for ZigBee and one for 4G. The 4G antenna is not necessarily used if a fixed internet connection (Ethernet) is employed. The Smart FM eG base station is recommended to be installed as close as possible to Heat'n'Charge Smart charging stations. The wireless connection functions better the closer the eG base station is. If the parking area is large and there are buildings between parking spots, multiple eG base stations should be installed. For example, in parking halls, one eG base station is installed per floor.
The Smart FM eG base station is recommended to be installed via Ethernet connection (at least Cat6 data cable is recommended). The eG base station connection can also be established via 4G. In this case, the eG base station does not require an Ethernet data cable. The operator is responsible for the SIM card. SIM card coverage must be considered: for example, coverage is weak underground or inside a metal cabinet. In such cases, a fixed connection is recommended.
The Heat’n’Charge Smart FM eG base station is quick and easy to install on a wall, pole, or back-to-back. For pole installation, you need a pipe clamp (3413090), which can also be used for back-to-back installation. When installing two devices back-to-back (e.g., Smart F-I and Smart FM), both devices are mounted on a single pipe clamp and secured to each other with an aluminum C-profile (3420011). For wall installation, you need a wall mounting bracket (3420009), which comes with pre-drilled mounting holes and a passage opening for cable routing. Cable passage protection is provided by a separate single-size conduit, available as either Conduit Pipe (3413026) or Membrane Gland (3504824) from Fibox’s accessory range.
