In the event of a power outage, the valve slide remains in its current position. In the de-energized state, the valve slide can be manually set to the center position, which splits the flow between the heating and domestic hot water circuits. Disconnect the motor and rotate the slide approximately 30°, or until warm water flows through both ports of the valve. Upon restoration of power, the valve slide returns to its original position and the motor is reinstalled.
