CT33 cable locator system
The CT33 system can detect various cables and wires, both indoors and outdoors, as well as pipes and conduits within structures or underground, using transmitter sondes. The system consists of an SG33 transmitter and a CL43 receiver, forming a complete cable locator system with a wide range of accessories available, such as feed cables, clamp-on transmitters, pipe transmitter sondes, and receiver antennas.
The SG33 (Serial No. 6709174) is a general-purpose cable locator transmitter. Thanks to its compact size, the SG33 fits into tight spaces where other 33 kHz transmitters are too bulky. The SG33 is powerful: in Boost mode, its output power matches that of many large outdoor transmitters. The SG33 can be connected directly to telecom cables and even to 450V power lines. With a clamp-on transmitter, it can be connected to, for example, underground cables. The signal transmitted by the SG33 can also be switched to a pulsed mode (4Hz or 8Hz). A pulsed signal is often easier to distinguish from interference.
The SG33 is functionally similar and superior in features to the CTT33 transmitter (6709163) previously included in the CT33 package, which is no longer in production.
The CL43 (Serial No. 6709156 and 6709157) is a user-friendly receiver for wires, cables, and pipe transmitter sondes. The CL43 can locate underground cables and sondes at depths of several meters. Indoors, it can detect floor heating cables and wires within walls and other structures. The CL43 is compatible with Vesalius 10 kHz and 33 kHz transmitters and all Vesalius sondes.
