In electric vehicle charging, the output components of the station often operate near their rated current, making temperature management critically important for the station’s service life.
The station incorporates temperature management requirements according to charging load:- Field-specific ventilation
- Air gaps in charging outputs
- Thermal emergency shutdown function
Charging output balancing factor of 1 (as required by the charging station standard).
The station features DIN rail mounting for sensors, enabling readiness for dynamic temperature management. When connected to an eParking backend system, the charging station can dynamically control charging load based on the temperature of output components.
Service Life ManagementThe station includes a dedicated device space for load management devices. This device space is a general-purpose area suitable for installing any device. The space reserves capacity for the eTolppa system’s load management device (eG) for multi-level load management. When the eTolppa load management device is installed in the station, no separate connection device is required at charging points.
If the thermal emergency shutdown function repeatedly interrupts power supply during the station’s service life, it is advisable to implement dynamic temperature management. In this mode, the backend system can continuously limit charging station loads based on the temperature of output components.
The station includes reserved space for a harmonic filter. The network analyzer can monitor the development of harmonic distortions, and a harmonic filter can be easily added later. Alarms related to harmonics can be configured on the analyzer.
The station also includes a separate space for spare outputs. The spare output space is standardly equipped with 3 units of C10 and 2 units of C16 (1-pole) circuit breakers (for other electrical needs). Spare outputs are not wired to busbars.
