In electric vehicle charging, the output components of the station often operate near their nominal current, making temperature management critical for the station’s service life.
The station incorporates temperature management features tailored to charging load requirements:- Field-specific ventilation
- Air gaps in charging outputs
- Thermal emergency shutdown function
Charging output balancing factor 1 (as required by the charging station standard).
The station features DIN rail mounting for sensors, enabling readiness for dynamic temperature management. When connected to an eParking backend system, the charging station can dynamically control charging load based on the temperature of output components.
Service Life ManagementThe station includes reserved space for load management devices. Load management space is a general device compartment suitable for installing any device. Reserved space is provided for the eTolppa system load management device (eG) to support multi-level load management. When the eTolppa load management device is installed in the station, no separate connection device is required at charging stations.
If the thermal emergency shutdown function repeatedly interrupts power supply during the station’s service life, it is advisable to implement dynamic temperature management. In this mode, the backend system can continuously limit charging station loads based on the temperature of output components.
The station includes reserved space for a harmonic filter. The network analyzer can monitor the development of harmonic distortions, and a harmonic filter can be easily added later. Alerts can be configured on the analyzer for this purpose.
The station also has a dedicated compartment for spare outputs. The spare output compartment includes standard spare circuit breakers: 3x C10 and 2x C16 (1-pole) (for additional electrical needs). Spare outputs are not wired to busbars.
